I was in the light of the purchase of a boat. Something like a 23 footer. I wanted to make the difference between a diesel and gasoline engine in terms of efficiency, slip maintenance, etc. .. Also, I'm fairly new to the boats.

The differences are remarkably user preference. Diesel usually generates much more power and torque at lower RPMs to. gas engines are more suited to go quickly, go far, boats.
