1997 Buick Century (what should i do)?

I want to purchase a 1997 Buick Century and I see someone selling one for $ 2900 with only 31,443 miles case, but my family said tha its no good. should I take a chance is my first car, but how it is doubtful that it has only 31.443 miles original.

Its very possible that these are ORIGINAL miles.
I HAVE seen that happen.
Take the car to a mechanic before you buy
And checked.
