How can I find the year of a Ford 302 engine is in my 1974 Sea Ray SRV 190?

It seems that all I'm going to the inventory system to get some of my 302, the party does not match. The candles were a Ford 71 302, but the points do not match this year. It seems that everything is from another year.
Look, you DO NOT go to an emergency marine store. But you need the serial block number and serial number of the distributor. All parts are COMPETENT Guy referance angry and parts for you. I've never had any problems.
