is a pacific sea craft flicka a good boat for a first time owner?
by Erin | Posted in Boats & Boating
I've never owned a yacht before and I really love the Pacific Boats Wed Flicka, but I want to be aware of what type of water it can use, how much they will cost, how they find and how hard they are clean.
The Flicka is notable for a boat person. Expensive as hell, though.

Hill sailing for spot on paralympics team
Former yacht Capt. Jody Hill is still working toward racing in the 2012 Paralympics.
The months since the Fort Lauderdale Cosmopolitan Boat Show, when Hill announced his plans to represent the United States in the 2012 Paralympics, have been filled with ups and downs. Whether he succeeds for London this year or begins training for a bid in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 comes down to two regattas in Florida in January.
In mid-January, the Agreed States hosted the 2012 IFDS World Championships, the first assay for those wanting to represent the U.S. as the team still must select its sailor athletes. Suspend on its heels was the OCR Miami regatta Jan. 22-28.
Going into the IFDS Worlds, Hill was favourable.
“It’s going to be extremely competitive but I’m feeling positive about my chances and fit for my biggest challenge to date,” he said.
It was not to be. On the second day of racing he retired with abnormal pain, something not unusual in his condition.

So, I control my thing for Hawaii. I went through many stages, first led by the major manufacturers (I'll get a Catalina in the universe!) More thoughts on the water wagon (Baba 30), the dear to continue traditional (see the Q Alden ooo!), the cheap (or even a Flicka Cal 20 in "Twenty miserable vessels ...").
