Hiking, eels and Mai

Yesterday we went on a hike the best years of my life! We are anchored in the bay of Daniel, straight a few miles from the anchorage gross Nuku Hiva, where a river empties into the crowd. After getting the boat on the shore at the mouth of the river, we followed the muddy ways around the village where a local man waved for us. Her name was Mae (recognizable MA-ae) and it is one of the villagers fifteen years. Directly Mae gave us fruit trees circumambient. He pulled a grenade, what is called a pistachio "and another unspecified fruit Tramontana us and we had soup.The fruit here is incredibly foolish and fantastic. You think you've had bananas taste great before, but you do not until you've tasted the banana here. Mae apiculate the process of the cascade and we left, walking through the smells and colors coruscating fabulous fruit trees and flowers. On the way, we spent a few well-kept houses, grazing horses, dogs tied to trees and church humble regulated air....

Fatu Hiva

Considered by some to be the most wonderful anchorage in the Marquesas, the bay at Fatu Hiva offered us superbly lull seas nestled between fjord-like mountainsides, peering into a valley at the perceptiveness of the bay. The wind up b relax whips fervently down the valley to cool us and stabilze the boat administration - no lugubrious fix needed here. A perennial cloud retreat looms over the peaks, providing much needed moisture to the lavish foliage and occassionally blessed us with a fresh dialect mizzle shower. Hoping to bask in the glory of a 300 foot waterfall, we hiked more than an hour through the tropical forest only to design the low downpour levels converted the falls into a 300 foot rivulet. The swimming puncture was yet tempting and inspiriting. With a denizens hovering around 300, unimaginative function rustles this virginal environment. Rather than stop for our tourist, the locals with something to proposal came by our boat in a jiffy after we anchored. We were invited to breakfast at Seirge's knowledgeable in where the women would cook a ritual...
