FAIRFIELD-- For three quarters for the Fairfield Warde girls basketball gang, it was good to be named Fountain.

Unfortunately for Westhill coach Mike Monarch , it also meant his team wasn't executing.

The Fountain sisters -- Jamera and Tiara -- combined for 30 Warde points and Kate Kerrigan added 12 points and nine rebounds as the Mustangs won their third candid game, 50-43 on Tuesday at Warde High School .

"We expert another game plan," Warde coach Dave Danko said. "It was a chess go with between (King) and myself and we were well prepared."

Brielle Lanese and Jerelyn Luther combined for eight points and 16 rebounds as Warde improved to 5-5 in the FCIAC, successful for the sixth time in seven games. The Mustangs outrebounded Westhill 34-28.

"This gang is going in the right direction," Danko said.

Westhill cut for the first time in 2012, dropping to 6-5 and 5-4 in the FCIAC. Vikings' subordinate guard Megan D'Alessandro led the Vikings with 20 points and nine rebounds, but she was the only Viking Thespian to score in double figures.
